"Saturday Mornings & Sidewalk Strolls: Clear Lake With a Stroller"

There's something magical about Saturday mornings in Clear Lake - especially now, pushing a stroller with my little sidekick bundled in pink.

Before Ariella was born, I loved these slow weekends with coffee in hand and nowhere to be. Now, I still have the coffee, cold, but I've traded the solo walk for giggles and tiny socks kicked off halfway down Main. And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

This past weekend, we strolled by the Surf Ballroom - always iconic, always humming with history - and paused near the seawall. The lake was still, like it was holding its breath for summer. Moms waved from benches, toddlers chased ducks, and I had one of those " I really live here" moments.

Photo Spot Alert: If you're wandering near City Park, stop by the big "Clear Lake" mural over near the lake. It's bright, bold, and the perfect backdrop for baby snuggles, iced coffee, or stroller selfies. Bonus: the splash pad is just a hop away for when your little one is older!

After our walk, we popped into Cabin Coffee (because duh), then made our way down to Fizz Co for a sweet little treat. Shout out to our wonderful friends, Kayla and Lee Nagel for killing it one drink creation at a time! The retro soda shop energy is adorable and the bright colors? Baby-approved. I grabbed a Lake Lap-blue, bubbly, and perfectly Clear Lake- and Ariella got lots of "ooohs" and "awwws" from other customers. She's clearly a fan of the vibe. It's one of those local gems that just makes you smile - nostalgic, welcoming, and a perfect spot to catch your breath.

I overheard someone say "Clear Lake feels like home even if it's not where you're from." I couldn't help but smile. I am from here - and now I'm rediscovering it through Ariella's eyes.

To the mama pacing outside the shops to get her baby to sleep: I see you.

To the dad juggling a sippy cup and a breakfast burrito: I salute you.

To the kid licking frosting off a sprinkle donut at the farmers market: never change.

Clear Lake isn't just a place I grew up in anymore. It's where my daughter is growing up. It's walks on cracked sidewalks and stories told over iced lattes. It's where I'm becoming more of me, while raising her.

Still learning, still grateful, always home.
