Sunday Sip Stop: My First Visit to Livonia’s
After a heart-filling morning at Zion, I followed the scent of roasted perfection straight to a place I'd been meaning to check out— Livonia's, Clear Lake's charming new coffee shop. And just me just say... instant favorite.
This Sunday was extra special because my mother-in-law, Kris, joined us for both church and coffee. She's been coming with us lately, and having her there makes these Sundays feel even sweeter. She is a huge help to us with Ariel in and outside of church. There's something really grounding about sharing faith, family, and a good cup of coffee together.
Tucked away with all the small-town charm you'd hope for, Livonia's felt like a hug in mug form. The cozy interior, the subtle hum of conversation, the handwritten chalkboard welcome outside the building — everything about it whispered, "Welcome. Stay a while." And we did.
I ordered their iced Cadbury Egg drink (yes, you read that right—Cadbury Egg!), and it was Easter candy magic in a cup. Sweet, creamy, chocolatey perfection with just enough espresso to still count as "adulting." Whether it was the decadent flavor or the warm grin from the barista, everything about the experience felt intentional and inviting. As I sipped and soaked in the vibe—chic, a little rustic, and undeniably friendly—I realized this might just become part of my Sunday ritual. Coffee and community? Yes, please.
Clear Lake, you've outdone yourself again. Livonia's, thanks for the warm welcome. I'll be back—with my journal, my baby, and maybe a friend or two in tow.
