Meet the Mama Mobile
Motherhood comes with a lot of new things.
New routines.
New responsibilities.
New levels of tired you never knew existed.
And apparently... a new kind of vehicle.
Because somewhere between packing diaper bags, making bottles, and figuring out how something so small can require so much stuff, I officially entered a new era of life:
The Mom Car Era.
And honestly? I'm kind of loving it.
Recently I got my new mama vehicle — a 2018 GMC Acadia —and it has already earned the title of what I'm now calling:
The Mama Mobile.
Why the Mama Mobile?
Before Ariella, my car mostly held things like my purse, coffee, and maybe a random hoodie.
Now?
Now it carries:
- A diaper bag that weighs about as much as a small gym membership
- Bottles
- Extra outfits (because toddlers are unpredictable little humans)
- Blankets
- Snacks for Ariella
- And eventually... all the treasures toddlers seem to find and collect.
Motherhood really does come with a surprising amount of cargo.
Thankfully, the Acadia has plenty of space for all of it —and still manages to feel comfortable and easy to drive.
Which is a blessing when you're running on three hours of sleep and iced coffee.
Ariella's First Mama Car
One of my favorite things about this new ride is realizing this will be the vehicle Ariella grows up in.
The one we'll take to:
- Church on Sundays
- Trips to see grandparents
- Coffee runs with mama
- Summer drives around Clear Lake
- And all the little adventures that come with growing up
Right now, she is sitting so well in her car seat, making little noises while I glance back at her in the mirror.
But someday she'll be sitting back there asking questions, singing songs, and telling me stories about her day.
And that thought makes this vehicle feel like more than just transportation.
It feels like the beginning of memories.
Mom Life Looks Different Now
There's something funny abut how life changes after you become a mom.
The things that once felt exciting —like a sporty car or flashy features —suddenly matter a little less.
Now I get excited about things like:
- Cargo space
- Cup holders
- Easy car seat access
- And a smooth ride for sleepy toddlers
And honestly?
That feels pretty perfect.
Because these days, my favorite passenger is a little girl with strawberry blonde hair who already has my whole heart.
Mama Verdict
So far, the Mama Mobile is doing exactly what it was hired to do.
It holds all the chaos that comes with motherhood, keeps my little girl safe, and gets us where we need to go.
And most importantly?
It's ready for all the adventures that Ariella and I will take together.
Because this season of life may come with diaper bags and car seats...
... but it also comes with the sweetest road trips I could ever imagine.
And I wouldn't trade it for anything.💜
