Her First Dentist Appointment (And She Was So Brave!)

Today was Ariella's first dentist appointment, and I walked in with a lot more nerves than she did.

She surprised me in the best way.

She was so curious, so cooperative, and so incredibly brave. She happily laid on my lap while the dentist counted her teeth and took a look around, and she let everyone check her smile without a fuss.

Current tooth count: 12 little teeth, with her bicuspids already starting to make their appearance. Time really does fly.

One of my favorite parts of the appointment was getting a hands-on lesson in brushing her teeth. I was shown how to do it by myself or with an extra set of hands, which made something that felt intimidating seem so much more manageable.

Motherhood is full of these tiny milestones that don't seem so tiny when you're living them.

A first smile. A first tooth. A first dentist appointment.

And before I know it, there will be another first waiting around the corner.

I'm so proud of my sweet girl and her brave little heart. 🤍 🦷
