The Mohawk Era
Grandma Kris and Grandpa Jerry usually get her from 1 PM to 8 PM on Fridays.
Which apparently is enough time for complete hair transformations.
Grandma sent me the first picture, and I laughed.
Then she sent the second one.
And suddenly we had… this.
A full-blown strawberry blonde mohawk.
I still don’t know how her hair managed to stand up like that, but judging by the look on her face, she seemed very pleased with herself.
Or Grandma’s work.
Or static electricity’s work.
Honestly, the jury is still out.
What I love most about these Fridays isn’t just the funny pictures that show up on my phone.
It’s knowing she gets whole afternoons and evenings filled with people who adore her.
People who make ordinary days memorable.
People who let her be silly, laugh with her, and send me photos that immediately end up in my favorites folder.
Because one day the mohawk will disappear.
The Friday routines might change.
But I have a feeling these pictures will always make me laugh.
And for the record — she absolutely thought she looked cool.
