My Girl Who Waves at Everyone

 

There are so many things I want to remember about this stage of motherhood, but this right here feels like her.

The big smile. The tiny hand waving. The look that says she’s ready to make friends with absolutely anyone.

Right now, one of Ariella’s favorite things to do is wave and say “Hi” — to people in stores, family members, strangers passing by, and sometimes even things that definitely cannot wave back. It’s become one of those little parts of our everyday life that I know I’ll miss someday.

She’s busy, curious, silly, and always on the move. Every day she seems to discover something new, and every day I catch myself wishing time would slow down just a little.

I know years from now I won’t just remember milestones — I’ll remember this version of her too: the strawberry-blonde hair, the mischievous smile, and the tiny hand always ready to wave hello.

For now, I’m soaking up every “Hi,” every smile, and every moment in between. 🤍
